Lucy Liu is a voice actress and director. She's also an actress. She's attractive and talented actress who has helped numerous Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. In the wake of a number of first performances in popular shows her fame was boosted when she joined the crew of the cult comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. The actress translated her sudden popularity into big screen roles in movies including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Her performance was outstanding as Japanese O-Ren, a gangster from Japan (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. While she was in the film, her roles as a leading lady in flops of the box office like Rise: Blood Hunter were as well-known. In animated movies such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and others she voiced characters with prominent voices. Mia Mason's small-screen role on Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. Southland is a critically acclaimed police drama that Liu starred in on a regular basis, was a role which helped to reestablish she is renowned as an actress. Liu has a lot of care when picking her roles so that she doesn't get typecast. Though she's proud of her heritage, she does not let that limit her creativity.
